Next up is our step-by-step instructions on how to prepare these mouthwatering sliders!
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Prepare the Brussels sprouts by cutting them in half lengthwise.
- Place the halved Brussels sprouts on a baking sheet and drizzle with olive oil, salt, and pepper.
- Roast the Brussels sprouts in the preheated oven for about 20-25 minutes or until they are tender and slightly browned around the edges.
- While the Brussels sprouts are roasting, prepare your onion jam by heating butter in a frying pan over medium heat.
- Add diced onions to the frying pan along with minced garlic, brown sugar, maple syrup, apple cider vinegar, and chilli powder.
- Cook everything together, stirring occasionally until onions become soft and a jammy texture is formed. It will take approximately 15-20 minutes. Set aside once done.
- In another pan, cook bacon slices until crispy. Once cooked, chop it into small squares using a knife or kitchen scissors.
- To assemble each slider, take one roasted Brussels sprout half. Place a piece of bacon square onto the cut side of the Brussels sprout, followed by a brie cheese slice.
- Top this up with a dollop of prepared onion jam. Then place the second Brussels sprout half, cut-side down, on top. Press gently so that all ingredients stick well.
- Insert a toothpick through the assembled sliders, securing them properly. Repeat the process for the remaining sliders.
- Serve immediately while still warm. Enjoy!
